A Template is the blueprint that Jamy will follow to create a Report from a Meeting. Templates use Components as their building blocks. A Template can have one or more Components and you can also decide whether the Template includes Topics and Tasks or not.
For example, the “Standard Meeting Template” uses only the “Summary” Component plus Topics and tasks. You can build Templates with as many Components as you want.
We go over how to build a Template in the Creating your first Template article.
How does Jamy decide which Template to use when generating a specific Report?
There are 3 ways Jamy can determine which Template to use when processing a meeting or call to generate a Report. Let's go over each one in the same order Jamy does it.
If you manually assigned a Template to the meeting

You can go to the Calendar view, either monthly or daily, and choose a specific Template for a meeting with status to_be_processed . Jamy will process that meeting and generate a Report using the Template you chose.
If the meeting name contains a match with a Template name.
For example, if your meeting has the word Sales in it and one of your organization's Templates also has the word Sales in their name, then Jamy will automatically use that Template.
Defining the Template to use using the Template description and the transcript of the meeting or call

Part of the fields you need to fill out when creating a Template is the Template's description. In the Description you basically write what that Template is going to be used for. The more details the better. You are basically telling Jamy when it should use that Template to generate a Meeting Report.
In the Creating your first Template article, we will create a Template that has the Summary and Sales Call Analysis Components. The Description of the Template will include the context of when to use it. Which is, not surprisingly, for sales calls.
Jamy is smart enough to understand when a meeting or call is related to a sales lead or prospect so it will choose the right Template to generate the Report.
What happens if you don't manually choose a Template for a call and the Template and Meeting name does not match and the Template description does not match with the meeting content?
Jamy is smart enough to realize when this happens. In this case, Jamy will default to the Standard Meeting Template. Which includes a Summary, Topics and Tasks.
Now that you have enough context of what Templates are, how to assign them to a meeting and how Jamy assigns them automatically, let's create your first Template.
