Let's start with Generation Components. As you might have read in our Types of Components article, a Generation Component consists of a set of instructions that Jamy will follow to generate a specific text.

If you haven't checked that article out, give it a read so you see all the an example of the Summary Component.

In this article we'll create a new Component meant to evaluate a sales call in order to understand the specific pain points and necessities of the customer. We will use Jamy's AI features to automatically generate a first version of the Component and then we will tweak it a bit manually.

You can also see how to create a Component by duplicating an existing public one in Duplicating an existing Component.

First, go to Report Creator in the left hand menu and click on Components:

Now let's go to the Create Component section

Now go and click on the Generate Component button.

This is where the fun begins. What we will do is describe to Jamy, in as much detail as possible, exactly what we want. Our prompt needs to be written as if it was the Component Description, no as if we were chatting with Jamy.

Meaning that saying something like "Generate a Component that has a…” won't work as well as if we say “This Component is meant for…".

Remember, we want a Component that evaluates a sales call and identifies the customers pain points, requirements and necessities. The result of applying this Component to a sales call should be a precise analysis of what is the problem the customer is facing, the ways they've tried to solve it, how much they've spent, which tools have they used, for how long have they been trying to solve it, how big of a priority it is to solve this problem and if they already have a budget assigned to solve this problem. We want not only the analysis, but also to reference the specific quotes in the call that we are basing our analysis in.

Guess what? That paragraph you just read is our prompt :). Let's see how good it is.

This is the exact text so you can copy and paste it and try it yourself:

This component evaluates a sales call and identifies the customer's pain points, requirements and necessities. The result of applying this Component to a sales call is a precise, thorough and succinct text that analyses what is the problem the customer is facing, the ways they've tried to solve it, how much they've spent, which tools have they used, for how long have they been trying to solve it, how big of a priority it is to solve this problem and if they already have a budget assigned to solve this problem. This Component not only analyses the call, but it also to reference the specific quotes in the call that we are basing our analysis in.

This is the prompt Jamy automatically generated, in one shot:

Now let's tweak it a bit. Let's add additional instructions to make it even more detailed:

Just write the instruction and click on "Add Instruction”

It looks good!

Final step is to add an Editor if you want. You will automatically be an Editor of all the Components you create, but you can also add other people from your organization as editors if your want.

You can also play around with this Component and build your own based on it by duplicating it, since it is public :).

Next step is to Test this Component.
