This is where everything from What are Sections?, Types of Sections, Creating your first Section, and What are Templates? comes together.

You have already done most of the work by creating your Sales Call Pain Point Analysis Section. Now you need to:
Create a Template that includes that Section (and any others you want).
Add a clear Purpose / Category and Description so Jamy assigns the Template accurately — as explained in What are Templates?.
Save and assign it to meetings.
Before you begin
Your Sales Call Pain Point Analysis Section should already exist (see Creating your first Section).
Creating Templates requires the Templates feature (Pro new, Premium, Global Business, or the Custom Templates add-on).
Step 1 — Open the Templates page
In the sidebar, go to Notes & Meetings → Templates (
/report-creator).Select Create Template (top right, or the Create New Template card).
You will enter the Create Template editor — a two-step wizard: Basics and Content.
Step 2 — Fill in the Basics
On Step 1 of 2 (Basics), configure the following fields.
Template Name
Choose a name Jamy can match against meeting titles. For this example, use something like:
Sales Call Analysis
Jamy can match Template names to meeting names automatically. See What are Templates? for how that works.
Purpose / Category (required)
A short summary of when this Template applies. For example:
Sales calls with leads and prospects — discovery and qualification
This field is required and helps Jamy understand the Template’s intent.
Description (optional)
Add more detail so Jamy can match the Template to meeting content when the name alone is not enough. For this tutorial, use:
This Template is meant to be used in sales calls between one or more sales people from our team and representatives from a potential customer. In the call we want to understand the lead's or prospect's main pain points, requirements and necessities. In this type of call we also want to understand whether they have tried to solve their problem already, which tools they have used, and what results they have gotten. We also want to confirm that the lead already has an approved budget to implement a solution, as well as the priority and timeline to do it. This Template should be used solely for sales meetings or calls that fit this description.
The more specific your Purpose / Category and Description, the better Jamy performs automatic Template selection.
Who can view this template?
Choose who can see the Template:
For this tutorial, Only me is fine.
Who can edit this template?
Choose who can modify the Template:
For this tutorial, leave it as Only me — you do not need to add other Editors.
Select Next to continue to the Content step.
Step 3 — Configure the Content
On Step 2 of 2 (Content), you define what appears in the Meeting Report.
Include Topics & Tasks
Enable the Include Topics & Tasks toggle if you want Jamy to automatically extract discussion topics and action items.
For this sales Template, turn it on.
Custom Sections
Sections are the building blocks of a Template. Each Section you add becomes part of the report generated for meetings that use this Template.
Add Summary
Select Add Section.
In the Add Section modal, open My Sections or Public Library.
Search for Summary.
Select Add.
Add Sales Call Pain Point Analysis
Select Add Section again.
Open the My Sections tab.
Find Sales Call Pain Point Analysis (the Section you created earlier).
Select Add.
Your Sections appear in a list. Use the up and down arrows to change their order, or the delete icon to remove one.
You can also select Create New to build a Section inline without leaving the Template editor.
When you are finished, your Template should include:
Summary
Sales Call Pain Point Analysis
Topics & Tasks (via the toggle)
Step 4 — Create the Template
Select Create Template.
Jamy saves the Template and returns you to the Templates list. You will see a success message confirming it was created.
Your new Template card shows the Template name, description, and Sections (2) (plus Topics & Tasks when enabled).
Step 5 — Assign the Template to a meeting
You can assign the Template manually, or let Jamy select it automatically.
Manual assignment (Calendar)
Go to Calendar.
Open a future sales meeting with Process meeting enabled.
In the meeting detail panel, choose Sales Call Analysis from the Template dropdown.
Jamy confirms: Template has been assigned.
The meeting will be processed using your Template when Jamy generates the report.
Other ways to assign
Recordings → Create Report — select the Template when uploading or linking a recording.
Calls — choose the Template from the Select a Template panel before or during a call.
Automatic assignment
Even if you do not assign the Template manually, Jamy may still choose it when:
The meeting name contains a match with the Template name (for example, Sales), or
The meeting content matches your Template’s Purpose / Category and Description.
See What are Templates? for the full selection order.
What you have built
You now have a complete sales Template that:
Generates a Summary of the call
Runs your Sales Call Pain Point Analysis Section for pain points, budget, and quotes
Extracts Topics & Tasks automatically
Is discoverable by Jamy for sales meetings via its name and description
Tips
Name Templates clearly — include keywords like Sales, Interview, or Stand-up that appear in your calendar event titles.
Write detailed descriptions — they are your main tool for automatic matching when names do not align.
Test Sections first — validate each Section with Testing Sections before relying on the Template in live meetings.
Reorder Sections — put the most important output first in the report.
Summary
Congratulations — your first custom Template is ready to use.
