Communicate with Your Team and Jamy in the Comments Section
Learn about the Comments section inside a Meeting Report and how you can collaborate with teammates — or ask Jamy a question — directly on a specific Topic or Task.

Sometimes clarity comes while you are reading a Jamy Report and you want a teammate to see the same context. Or you have found a detail you were looking for and want to tag someone so they do not miss it. Comments are built for that.
You can leave comments on individual Topics and Tasks, tag teammates with @mentions, reply in threads, and react with emojis. You can also @Jamy in a comment and Jamy will reply in the same thread.
What are Comments?
Comments are contextual discussions attached to a specific item in a Meeting Report — not a general chat for the whole meeting.
Each comment thread is tied to one Topic or Task, so the conversation stays next to the content it relates to.
Comments are available on:
If you need to ask Jamy about the meeting as a whole, use the report-level Chat pill instead (see Comments vs Chat below).
Open Comments on a Topic or Task
Go to Recordings (
/reports).Open a meeting report (
/reports/details/{meeting-id}).Find the Topic or Task you want to discuss.
Select the ⋮ (more) menu on that row.
Select Comments.
A Comments drawer opens on the right. The drawer title shows Comments, with the topic or task name underneath.
If the report has no comments yet, you will see:
No comments yet. Be the first to comment!
At the bottom of the Comments drawer:
Type your message in the comment field.
Select Send.
Your comment appears with your name and a timestamp. @mentions are highlighted in purple.
Placeholder hint: You can use @ to ref users or Jamy here
Tag teammates with @mentions
Use @ to mention someone in a comment. Jamy suggests people from:
Your organisation’s users
Meeting participants
Report recipients (people the report was shared with)
Example:
@Sarah can you confirm the deadline mentioned here?
Tagged teammates receive an email notification so they do not miss your comment. Notification links can open the report directly on the relevant item’s comment thread.
Reply in a thread
Each comment has a Reply action.
Select Reply on a comment.
Type your response.
Select Send.
Replies appear indented under the original comment, so conversations stay organised by topic or task.
React with emojis
You can react to any comment with emojis:
👍 · ❤️ · 😂 · 😮 · 😢 · 🔥
Select the emoji icon next to Reply, pick a reaction, and it appears on the comment with a count.
Asking Jamy questions in Comments
You can ask Jamy a question inside a comment thread by mentioning @Jamy.
Example:
@Jamy what was the agreed budget for this project?
Jamy replies in the same thread as a nested comment, with Jamy shown as the author — similar to a teammate reply.
You receive an email notification when Jamy responds. Responses usually take less than a minute, depending on the question and report content.
Tips for good results:
Ask about content related to that Topic or Task — Jamy has the meeting context.
Be specific: “What did the client say about the timeline?” works better than a vague question.
Use Reply if you are continuing an earlier question in the same thread.
Comments vs Chat
Jamy offers two ways to interact with AI on a report. They serve different purposes:
Chat requires a plan that includes the chat feature (available on Premium and Global Business). Comments are available to logged-in users viewing a report they can access.
If you are unsure which to use:
Discussing or clarifying a specific topic or action item → Comments
Exploring the whole meeting freely → Chat
See comment activity from Recordings
On the Recordings list, reports with comments show a comment count (message icon + number) on the report card, so you can spot active discussions before opening a report.
Who can comment?
You must be logged in to Jamy.
Anonymous / shared-link viewers cannot leave comments.
Anyone with access to the report can comment on its Topics and Tasks, subject to your organisation’s permissions.
Comments are stored per meeting and linked to the specific topic or task (section: topics or tasks).
Deep links from notifications
Email notifications can include a link that opens the report with the Comments drawer already open for the relevant item (via URL parameters such as item_id and section). Select the link in the email to jump straight into the conversation.
