Sometimes you want to add extra information to a Meeting Report β€” or a report was generated with the Standard Meeting Summary template and you want one more analysis block. Add New Report Section lets you do that without regenerating the whole report.

With one click, you can add any Section from your library (or the public catalogue) to an existing report. Jamy generates the new content from the meeting transcript in the background.

What this feature does

Add New Report Section adds a Section to an existing Meeting Report. Each Section becomes a new block in the report β€” either:

Section type

What you get

Text Generation

AI-written narrative content (e.g. summary, analysis, recommendations)

Q&A or Variable Capture

Structured fields with answers extracted from the meeting

You can also add Topics & Tasks if they are not already on the report.

Example: A report used Standard Meeting Summary, but you also want a Sales Call Analysis. Open Add New Report Section, find that Section, select Add, and Jamy appends it to the report within about a minute.

You can add as many Sections as you need.

If your plan does not include this feature, selecting Add New Report Section will prompt you to upgrade (typically Global Business or the Custom Templates add-on).

How to add a Section to a report

1. Open the report

  1. Go to Recordings (/reports).

  2. Open the meeting report you want to extend (/reports/details/{meeting-id}).

2. Open Add New Report Section

In the report header row (alongside pills such as Participants, Custom Words, Chat, and Share), select:

Add New Report Section πŸͺ„

A popover opens with available Sections.

3. Choose a Section

The popover has two tabs:

Tab

Contents

My Sections

Sections your organisation has created

Public

Shared Sections from Jamy’s public catalogue

Use the search box to filter:

  • Search my sections

  • Search public sections

Each Section shows its name, description, and an Add button.

4. Add Topics & Tasks (optional)

At the top of the popover, there is a fixed block for Topics & Tasks:

Add topics and tasks to the Report

Select Add here if the report does not yet include Topics and Tasks and you want Jamy to generate them from the transcript.

5. Confirm and wait

Select Add next to the Section you want.

Jamy shows a confirmation:

Section added to the queue. It will be done in <1 min.

For Topics & Tasks:

Topics and tasks generation started. Processing in background.

The popover closes and the report refreshes. A new Section appears on the page while Jamy processes it.

What you will see while it generates

Newly added Sections start in a processing state:

  • Text Generation Sections show a message such as β€œ{Section name} has not been generated yet” with an optional Regenerate button.

  • Q&A or Variable Capture Sections show a loading skeleton until fields are populated.

Processing usually completes in under a minute. The page updates automatically when the Section is ready.

Once done, the Section appears like any other part of the report β€” editable if you have report edit permissions.

Example workflow

  1. Open a sales call report generated with Standard Meeting Summary.

  2. Select Add New Report Section πŸͺ„.

  3. Open the Public tab and search for something like Sales Call Analysis.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Wait for processing to finish.

  6. Scroll the report β€” the new Section appears below existing Text Generation and Q&A Sections, above Topics and Tasks.

Repeat for any additional Sections (competitor analysis, action plan, client objections, etc.).

Tips

  • Search first β€” with many Sections, use Search my sections or Search public sections rather than scrolling.

  • Test before adding β€” use Testing Sections to preview how a Section behaves before adding it to a live report.

  • Create your own β€” if nothing in Public fits, create a Section at Report Creator β†’ Create Section (/quick-access/create), then add it from My Sections.

  • Topics & Tasks are separate β€” they always appear at the bottom of the report; use the dedicated Topics & Tasks block in the popover if they are missing.

  • Multiple additions β€” you can add several Sections to the same report; each is queued and generated independently.

  • Edit after generation β€” once a Section is done, you can edit Text Generation content or Q&A field values directly in the report.

Removing a Section from a report

If you added a Section by mistake, Text Generation and Q&A Sections include a delete option in the section header (report owners only). Confirm in the modal:

Are you sure you want to remove this section from the report?

This removes that Section from this report only β€” it does not delete the Section from your library.
