Meeting Bots (AI Notetaker)

Meeting Bots is Jamy’s AI notetaker. A bot joins your video call as a participant, then records, transcribes, and summarizes the meeting so you get notes, action items, and a full report without taking notes yourself. Supported platforms: Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.

Quick start checklist

  1. Sign up / log in to Jamy

  2. Connect Google or Outlook calendar (or complete Meet permissions)

  3. Set join preferences (which meetings get a bot)

  4. Set a clear bot name in Profile

  5. Run a test meeting (calendar event, manual link )

  6. Open the meeting report → confirm summary, transcript, and tasks

How to use this feature

1) One-time setup

A. Connect calendar (recommended for automatic join)

  1. Go to Calendar / Integrations (“Add Jamy to your calendar meetings”).

  2. Connect Google Calendar and/or Outlook Calendar.

  3. Choose which meetings Jamy should join:

    • All meetings

    • All meetings you have accepted

    • Internal meetings

    • Meetings you host

    • External meetings

  4. Save preferences. Jamy will send a bot as a participant for matching events.

B. Customize how the bot appears

  1. Open Profile / Settings → Meeting Bot.

  2. Set the bot name participants will see when Jamy joins.

  3. Keep it friendly and recognizable (e.g. Alex’s Meeting Assistant).

2) Get the bot into a meeting

You can use any of these methods:

Method 1 - Automatic (calendar)

  1. Connect calendar and set join rules (above).

  2. Create or accept a meeting with a Meet / Zoom / Teams / Webex link on that calendar.

  3. At meeting time, Jamy joins automatically based on your rules.

  4. After the call, open the meeting report in Jamy.

Method 2 - Manual scheduled meeting

  1. Go to Calendar.

  2. Choose Add Meeting.

  3. Enter:

    • Meeting title

    • Date and start time

    • Meeting link (required - Jamy uses this to join)

    • Optional notes / participants

  4. Submit Add Meeting.

  5. Jamy joins at the scheduled time using the link.

Manual meetings are only visible inside Jamy (they are not created on your Google/Outlook calendar).

Method 3 - Instant meeting

  1. From Dashboard or Calendar, start an instant meeting flow.

  2. Paste the live meeting link.

  3. Submit so Jamy can join immediately.

3) After the meeting - use the outputs

  1. Open Reports or the specific meeting from calendar/meetings.

  2. Review:

    • Summary

    • Transcript (with speakers)

    • Recording playback

    • Tasks / action items

    • Topics, keywords, questions

    • Template-based report sections

  3. Optionally:

    • Chat with the meeting bot about that meeting

    • Share the report with teammates or external recipients (if your plan allows)

    • Create follow-ups from extracted tasks

4) Manage bots (advanced / org)

  1. Go to Bots.

  2. View meeting bots (MEETING type).

  3. During first Google Meet setup, Jamy can create an org MeetBot (e.g. {OrgName}MeetBot) and link a Meet user.

  4. Once set up, the UI may show you’re ready and remind you to invite notes@jamy.ai when needed.
