Creating a Report from an Audio or Video File

This article explains how to turn an existing audio or video recording into a Jamy meeting report, with transcript, summary, tasks, and more without sending a bot to a live call.

What this feature does

Upload a recording file or paste a public recording URL. Jamy processes it and generates a full report, similar to a live meeting:

  • Transcript (with speakers when available)

  • AI summary

  • Action items / tasks

  • Topics, keywords, and questions

  • Template-based report sections (if your plan includes templates)

  • Shareable report you can send later

Supported platforms for live bots are separate. This flow is for recordings you already have.

Who can use it

The Create Report button appears only on plans that include report creation:

  • Pro

  • Premium

  • Pro new

  • Global Business

If you are on Starter, you will not see Create Report on the Recordings page. Upgrade to a plan that includes this feature.

Transcription minutes still apply on plans with monthly limits. If your Starter minutes are exhausted (when applicable), Jamy may ask you to upgrade before creating another report.

Where to find it

  1. Log in to Jamy.

  2. Open Recordings from the main menu
    Direct link: https://app.jamy.ai/reports

  3. Click Create Report (top right).

The page title in the app is Recordings (“View all your meeting and call recordings with transcripts”). The route is /reports.

Tips for best results

  • Use a clear Report Name so you can find it later in search.

  • Add all relevant participant emails if you plan to share the report with them.

  • Prefer a clean recording (minimal background noise) for better transcription.

  • For URL, confirm the link opens in a private/incognito window without signing in.

  • For long files, allow extra processing time and refresh Recordings if status is still PROCESSING.

  • Check Settings → Monthly Limits if creation fails due to transcription minutes.

After the report is ready

From the report page you can typically:

  • Read the summary and transcript

  • Play the recording

  • Review tasks and topics

  • Chat about the meeting (plan-dependent)
