Access the Recording and Transcript

Replaying meeting recordings and reviewing the word-by-word transcript is one of Jamy’s most popular features. It lets you revisit every detail, give feedback to your team, capture key insights, and keep a record of what customers or vendors said — which can be very useful.

Where to find your recording

  1. In the sidebar, go to Notes & MeetingsRecordings.

  2. Open the meeting you want to review (this opens the Meeting Report at /reports/details/{meeting-id}).

  3. At the top of the report, select Recording & Transcript.

You can also reach a report from Calendar, Contacts, Folders, or Spaces when a link to that meeting is available.

The Recording & Transcript view

Selecting Recording & Transcript opens a full-width panel (drawer) from the right, titled Transcript.

The view is split into two main areas:

1. Recording player (top)

  • Video meetings — the recording plays in a video player with standard controls (play, pause, seek, volume).

  • Audio-only meetings — an audio player is shown instead (for example, .mp3, .wav, .m4a files).

The recording starts playing when you open the panel.

2. Transcript (below)

Scroll down to read the full transcript. Each segment includes:

  • Timestamp — click to jump the recording to that moment.

  • Speaker name — who said it.

  • Word-by-word text — as the recording plays, the current words are highlighted in sync with the audio or video.

This makes it easy to follow along and find exactly what was said at any point.

Search the transcript

Use the Search in transcript... field above the transcript text to find specific words or speakers. Matching text is highlighted in the results, and segments that do not match are filtered out.

Download or copy the transcript

Below the recording player, you will see two buttons:

Button

What it does

Download Transcript

Downloads the transcript file (with speaker labels)

Copy Transcript

Copies the full transcript to your clipboard, formatted with timestamps and speaker names

These options appear directly under the player — you do not need to scroll to the bottom of the transcript to find them.

Note: On shared report links viewed by people without a Jamy account, download and copy actions may be hidden depending on share settings.

Download the full report as a PDF

To download a PDF of the entire Meeting Report (summary, sections, tasks, and more — not just the transcript):

  1. On the meeting report, select Share.

  2. Choose Send via email / Slack (opens the Share Meeting Report modal).

  3. Select Download PDF at the bottom of the modal.

Jamy generates and downloads a PDF of the full report to your device.

Tips

  • Click timestamps to jump to specific moments without scrubbing through the recording manually.

  • Use search to locate a quote, name, or topic quickly in long meetings.

  • Copy Transcript is handy for pasting into emails, CRM notes, or internal docs.

  • Download PDF is best when you need to share or archive the complete report, not just the transcript.
